Job Introduction

The Hammond School is a Specialist Performing Arts School accommodating 90 boarding pupils on 2 sites.

We are looking for a person who is able to demonstrate a high standard of food service and resulting cleaning requirements with great attention to detail to join our team providing a range of meals during the weekend

Role Responsibility

setting up counter for breakfast service, ensuring all cutlery, napkins, china etc is topped up.
Process dirty plates etc on trolleys .
Process washing up .
Pot wash as necessary.
Ensure food is well stocked and keep counter looking fresh and tidy.
Serve customers during breakfast and evening meal,
Complete relevant food safety and due diligence checks and record.
Any cleaning duties as per cleaning schedule
Remove any rubbish from kitchen, taking down to skips, re-cycling where necessary.
Clean down work area (sinks and hand-wash sink) Follow correct de-greasing/sanitisation procedure as per training. Ensure sink area/walls clean. Hygienically store/wash any cleaning materials (dishcloths, scourers etc)
Any other duties as requested by the Matrons

The Ideal Candidate

Experience in a food/ catering establishment would be advantageous.

Knowledge of Food Safety processes and Health and Safety processes.

The role is subject to Right to Work and DBS checks.

Package Description

Providing food service Saturday and Sunday to 50 boarders.

7am to 9am breakfast Saturday- cooked on site.

5.30pm to 7.30pm Saturday evening meal- sent down from main school

11am to 1pm brunch Sunday- sent down from main school

5pm to 7pm Sunday evening meal- sent down from main school.
