Weekend Catering Assistant

Job Introduction

Working alone on a Saturday morning, you will be preparing breakfast for self service by the customers. You will also be manning the till and completing any cleaning and due diligence tasks as appropriate.

On occasion to cover holidays and sickness there is overtime available Monday - Friday between the hours on 07:30 and 14:45.

You should possess:

Good communication skills

The ability to work under pressure with a positive attitude

Role Responsibility

Obtain till float from safe, check and declare float on ePOS till.
Set up counter for breakfast service
Cook breakfast as required.
Process dirty plates etc on trolleys .
Till operation - using ePOS system. Account for any internal issues.
Process washing up using plate wash machine.
Ensure breakfast is well stocked and keep counter looking fresh and tidy.
Top up counters and displays.
Cash up at the end of service. Sign documentation and declare takings. Close down and sign off till.
Complete a safe check.
Any cleaning duties as per cleaning schedule
Remove any rubbish from kitchen, taking down to skips, re-cycling where necessary.
Clean down work area (sinks and hand-wash sink) Follow correct de-greasing/sanitisation procedure as per training. Ensure sink area/walls clean. Hygienically store/wash any cleaning materials (dishcloths, scourers etc)
Any other duties as requested by the Manager.

The Ideal Candidate

would have experience, although full training will be given.

should be 18 years plus as will be working alone.

would have a current hygiene certificate.

would be flexible and be able to work overtime Mon - Fri on occasion.
