Weekend Catering Assistant

Role Responsibility

  • Setting up counter for food service, ensuring all cutlery, napkins, china etc is topped up.
  • Process dirty plates etc on trolleys.
  • Process washing up using  wash and rinse sinks.
  • Process Pot wash as necessary.
  • Liaise with main school kitchen to ensure food counter is well stocked and looking fresh and tidy.
  • Serve customers during their meal.
  • Any cleaning duties as per cleaning schedule
  • Remove any rubbish from kitchen, taking down to skips, re-cycling where necessary.
  • Clean down work area (sinks and hand-wash sink) Follow correct de-greasing/sanitisation procedure as per training. Ensure sink area/walls clean. Hygienically store/wash any cleaning materials (dishcloths, scourers etc)         
  • Any other duties as requested by the House Matrons.

The Ideal Candidate

Previous experience in a catering role would be advantageous.

This role is subject to enhanced DBS checks

Working at one of the Hammond Schools 2 boarding houses serving Saturday evening meal, Brunch and evening meal on Sunday during term time
