Waste Administrator

Job Introduction

As a Waste Management Administrator you will be responsible for all waste administration for specified sites.

Role Responsibility

  • Manage and develop waste management and environmental services across the sites
  • Provide and demonstrate value for money and operational excellence
  • Ensure legal compliance including duty of care requirements
  • Maintain an effective control on the waste management issues and service delivery.
  • Effectively communicate across department levels with the Trust, site team, central and waste vendors.
  • Analyse and present data to demonstrate performance of waste service
  • Implement a strategy to meet agreed KPI’s established for service improvements

The Ideal Candidate

  • Sound environment/waste qualification i.e. IEMA, CIEH, NEBOSH, etc.
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering waste services within a complex organisation.Supervision /management
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, staff and waste vendors at all levels
  • Ability to analyse and report data
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Good understanding of environmental legislation
  • Good standard of literacy and numeracy
  • Computer literate
  • Experienced in the implementation and design of waste management systems
