Warehouse and Distribution Operative

Job Introduction

Areas of Responsibility:

FULL CLEAN DRIVING LICENCE REQUIRED

  • Delivery of Defence Accommodation Stores (DAS) to MoD properties
  • Maintenance of any accountable delivery documents relating to the delivery of Defence Accommodation Stores (DAS) to MoD properties
  • Provide front line customer service in accordance with Company policy
  • General maintenance of the Supply Store and its associated store items
  • General maintenance of the Supply Store Road Transport Fleet

Objectives & Purpose:

To ensure the accurate/efficient delivery and accounting of all aspects of Defence Accommodation Stores (DAS) on behalf of the MoD Authority

To ensure the provision of legal, regulatory and policy requirements within the Divisional area of responsibility

Key Result Areas:

The delivery of Defence Accommodation Stores (DAS) to MoD properties

  • Selection of Defence Accommodation Stores (DAS) for delivery to MoD properties
  • Loading/unloading of Defence Accommodation Stores (DAS) for delivery to MoD properties

Maintaining any accountable delivery documents relating to the delivery of Defence Accommodation Stores (DAS) to MoD properties

  • Obtaining customer verification and signature of auditable delivery documentation (electronic and physical)
  • Advise the Warehouse & Distribution Supervisor of any discrepancies in delivery of Defence Accommodation Stores (DAS) to MoD properties

Provide front line customer service in accordance with Company policy

  • Provide to the customer or client first class Sodexo customer service and relations

General maintenance of the Supply Store and its associated store items

  • Maintenance of the Supply Store as directed by the Warehouse & Distribution Supervisor

General maintenance of the Supply Store Road Transport Fleet

  • Maintenance of the Supply Store Road Transport Fleet as directed by the Warehouse & Distribution Supervisor

The Ideal Candidate

  1. Selection of all fit for purpose DAS for subsequent delivery to MoD properties
  2. Accurate and efficient loading of DAS to Supply Store Road Transport
  3. Timely delivery and collection of DAS to/from MoD Properties as directed by the Warehouse & Distribution Supervisor
  4. Installation of DAS to designated locations in accordance with LSG Warehouse & Distribution policy
  5. Obtaining customer verification and signature of auditable delivery documentation and subsequent processing to the Warehouse & Distribution team
  6. Provide to the customer or client first class Sodexo customer service and relations and inform the Warehouse & Distribution Supervisor of any discrepancies relating to DAS deliveries
  7. Maintenance and general warehouse duties of the Supply Store as directed by the Warehouse & Distribution Supervisor
  8. Maintenance of the Supply Store Road Transport Fleet as directed by the Warehouse & Distribution Supervisor in accordance with LSG Road Transport Policy
  9. Comply with Legislative and Company direction regarding the Environment and Waste Management. You are encouraged to discuss areas where the Company can improve their Environmental and Waste Management performance with your Line Manager
  10. Comply with all current Company and Legal Health & Safety regulations
  11. Cover when required extra and ad-hoc duties, as defined by the Line Manager, to ensure the smooth operation of the Logistic Support Group (LSG)
