Vending and Catering Assistant
Job Introduction
Reporting into the Catering Supervisor, the Vending Cup Operative will be responsible for collecting, cleaning and re-stocking ceramic cups in vending areas on client premises. The successful candidate will be the face of the company to the client, and so they need to be personable, professional and presentable at all times. The ideal candidate will also enjoy interacting positively with our clients
Role Responsibility
- To operate an industrial dishwasher.
- To exercise due care & attention to ensure minimal breakages of equipment.
- Provide high personal standards of performance, hygiene, appearance and cleanliness at all times.
- Comply with all company and statutory regulations to health and safety. Safe working practices hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH. This includes awareness of any specific hazards in the work place.
- Ensure that the company’s standards of cleanliness are achieved and maintained.
- To maintain clean working environment at all times, with special regard to hygiene.
- To ensure the end of day cleanliness of the dishwasher machine with a daily clean to a safe hygienic standard
- Participate in the necessary training and team meetings to complete job responsibilities to the company’s and clients standards e.g. Health and safety, food hygiene.
- Work well on your own as well as part of the team
- Assist in any special functions of which may occur outside working hours.
- Report immediately any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damaged goods or other irregularities.
- Report immediately and cease to use any equipment, which has gone faulty.
- Cover in other areas during periods of holidays and sickness.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks directed by management

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Good communications skills
- Good understanding of manual handing as role involves some heavy lifting
- Ability to adhere to health & safety practices
- Ability to achieve performance criteria, with particular regard to hygiene
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Previous cleaner/kitchen porter experience in a similar working environment
- A friendly and positive team player, who can work with people at all levels
- Flexibility to the business needs
Desirable
- Self-motivated and able to work without supervision
- Ability to prioritize their workload
