Trainer (Learning and Development) Hospitality and Service Excellence

Job Introduction

We are looking to recruit a Trainer to join the Sodexo team based at Ascot racecourse to deliver operational and service excellence training to front line and management teams (hospitality and events). This role will ensure the strategy to drive service excellence across the Sports and Leisure business is achieved, through working with the HR and Operational teams to design and deliver learning and development activities. This role will impact teams across a variety of our sites and also for our major events business, including Royal Ascot.

Role Responsibility

  • Conduct face to face skills training to site teams on a broad range of topics, including but not limited to Service Excellence programmes, service skills, induction/orientation training
  • To develop a structured training calendar for service excellence delivery across the various business areas
  • Regularly audit and monitor on-site training activity, including but not limited to GREAT, FLOW, Induction and Service Excellence training
  • Build the confidence of site teams in delivering in-house training
  • Support the implementation of training plans for new contract mobilisations
  • Work with the Head of People Operations to devise bespoke training plans to support the needs of the various business areas
  • Design, build and launch into the business E-learning modules to support the development and growth of casual front-line teams
  • Collaborate with the Head of People Operations to develop and implement site-specific Service Excellence/Training agendas
 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Confident in delivering operational and service training to groups of various sizes
  • A confident public speaker, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of working within a hospitality/customer service industry
  • Creative and passionate about delivering memorable guest experiences
  • Able to work independently as part of a remote team
  • Flexibility to work some weekends, during events.
