Technical Services Manager

Job Introduction

Are you an experienced Technical Services professional with a background in mechanical engineering? Are you an effective leader, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels?

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Services Manager to join the team at Alderley Park; a unique site with a community of Scientists, Innovators, Investors and Entrepreneurs, catalysing the growth of innovative science and technology businesses. The role holder will manage and control the delivery of Technical Services to the highest standard. You will be responsible for an operating (R&D/Office/Engineering) area to ensure delivery meets KPI’s and compliance standards.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a pharmaceutical or healthcare environment, working on a large FM account. You will be responsible for a wider team of around 20 staff and the ability to lead and motivate a team is key for this role.

 

Role Responsibility

  • To manage and control the services for the client to the agreed specification, performance, qualitative and financial targets.
  • To be responsible for an operating (R&D/Office/Engineering) area and to lead a team to ensure delivery against Key Performance Indicators.
  • Ensure engineering compliance is delivered based on clear planning and reporting framework
  • Foster long term profitable relationships with Clients to maintain existing business and identify new opportunities via operational excellence.
  • Provide direction and expertise to the operating area by promoting Sodexo strategies and best business practices in order to uphold the Company mission and values.
  • Motivate and lead a high performing IFM team to achieve personal and business objectives.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Mechanical background with experience in a Pharmaceutical or Healthcare environment
  • Experience in asset maintenance planning software systems
  • Strong commercial knowledge / able to demonstrate working on a large FM account
  • IOSH Certificate in Managing Safely
  • High level of practical knowledge of relevant employment, hygiene, Health and Safety and general legislative requirements
  • Safe Systems of Works allocated to support the relevant work activity (ATW/PTW/Hot work)
  • Member of BIFM

Package Description

Up to £49,000 per annum + bonus + benefits
