Technical Services Manager (Hard FM/Maintenance)

Job Introduction

This is an exceptional opportunity for a people focused manager with a strong understanding of technical/maintenance services. In this role, you will have accountability for the delivery of all maintenance across 6 schools in Exeter.  Providing leadership and strategy to ensure all Sodexos Hard services are delivered to an exceptional standard, in a compliant, cost effective and safe way.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a high profile PFI contract ensuring the delivery of maintenance, engineering and sub contract activity across the schools, ensuring safe, quality and impactful service delivery across multiple buildings.

The role offers a rewarding place to work with development opportunity and would be suited to experienced Hard Services Managers with a passion for people and service quality.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Responsibility for all operational and commercial matters relating to the Hard FM Services delivered to the Exeter PFI Schools contract
  • Responsible for all services being delivered in fully customer focused manner.
  • Ensure consistent, proactive management in supporting all Health & Safety and Environmental legislation, and providing effective innovative business solutions to operational matters, within agreed funding and resource limits.
  • Maximise the profitability of the contract and manage costs effectively

The Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrable experience in a Hard FM role, teamed with a trade or technical background
  • Management experience in construction, property maintenance or related field
  • A general manager with experience of leading complex, multi-site operations
  • Good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
  • Good knowledge and experience of working within strict ISO 9000 policies and processes;
  • Excellent communicator
