Team Leader - Primary Care

The Head of Healthcare has launched a new clinical structure aimed at enhancing patient’s health and well-being and focusing on developing Sodexo’s values for nurses both professionally and personally. 

We are looking for Team Leaders, who have a passion for nurse development and who are able to help implement innovative new services for our women.

As a Team Leader you will be responsible for the development of nurses, service provision on one of the four house blocks. You will also be responsible for the day to day management of clinical services on your designated house block.

Team Leaders will be expected to be visible throughout the prison; you will work a four/five day week, which will include on average one weekend in four.

Awarded a bronze accreditation by Investors in People, HMP YOI Bronzefield focuses on providing needs-based services and programmes aimed at rehabilitating and maintaining the well-being of prisoners. HMP YOI Bronzefield is an all female prison that can hold up to 527 women.

Sodexo Justice delivers custodial and community rehabilitation services that challenge offending behaviour, protect the public and offer individuals the opportunity to change their lives for the better. We deliver the total operation of five prisons within England, Scotland and Wales and own six Community Rehabilitation Companies in partnership with crime reduction charity Nacro.

Role Responsibility

  • To provide leadership and management to the nursing team to ensure to provide a high standard of patient care providing supervision and support where appropriate
  • You will be the named nurse for one of the houseblocks in the prison, providing visibility, working as part of the multidisciplinary team
  • To ensure nursing procedures are carried out in accordance with the Sodexo policies and procedures including taking appropriate actions in emergency situations
  • In conjunction with team leaders, be responsible for setting, monitoring and maintaining high standards of care on your houseblock

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Valid NMC registration (Adult Nursing)
  • Excellent leadership skills
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a registered adult nurse
  • Commitment to the delivery of high quality services

    Desirable

  • Experience of working in custodial environment.
  • Mentorship/ ENB Qualification or working towards
  • Non-Medical Prescriber
  • Management Qualification
