Switchboard Operator

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Switchboard Operator to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

  • To answer and manage all internal and external calls received, resolving customer queries effectively and efficiently in a polite and courteous manner.
  • To use questioning and listening techniques to identify customer requests / queries and action accordingly.
  • To carry out the daily log-on and test procedure and closing down procedure as appropriate.
  • To be fully aware of the current emergency / reporting procedures and be prepared to implement these should the need arise.
  • To operate the switchboard /operator console competently
  • To undertake pro-active database updating and recording of ‘out of database’ information

  • To maintain awareness of and respond to service levels and deliver to service standards and objectives.
  • To promote the brand act as an ambassador when carrying out all duties.
  • To be punctual and reliable,
  • To undertake administrative duties efficiently as and when required.
  • To assist with any other Front of House tasks as and when requested.
  • To actively support others taking on additional responsibility as and when necessary to the delivery of excellent customer service.
  • Keep up to date with the client and events to ensure that customers receive accurate and consistent information.
  • Contribute/assist in championing the need for continuous improvement.
  • To be receptive and adaptive to change in a fast moving environment.
