Retail Catering Manager (Fast Food)

Job Introduction

We are currently looking to recruit a Subway Manager to oversee the daily management of our new Subway store at Wythenshawe Hospital.

You’ll ensure that all brand standards are delivered throughout the shift to ensure complete customer satisfaction – completing all relevant checks, standards, food and health and safety checks and taking necessary remedial action or escalating when required.

Role Responsibility

  • Lead the team on shift to deliver the best Subway experience to every guest
  • Manage the stock and order systems for food and consumables ensuring that the store has 100% supply of items for the customer
  • Ensure all cash and stock is kept secure and that all necessary action is taken to ensure the handover of stock and cash is done in a secure manner
  • Ensure the store is opened and closed, adhering to all company standards, policies and procedures
  • Train and coach team members as required to support them in delivering their roles effectively to Subway Franchise standards, including Subway University
  • Deal with and resolve customer complaints
  • Monitor the store KPI reports and translate in to daily action as required
  • Implement marketing updates and new POS to meet Subway Franchise standards

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience of Catering or Retail
  • Previous Supervisory experience in a Retail customer facing environment
  • Effective communication and customer care skills with patients, visitors, customers, clients, and staff
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, clients, and staff at all levels
  • Financial awareness in managing budget
  • Proficient IT user (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Understanding of relevant Health and Safety, Employment and other legislative requirements

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of NHS policies, equipment requirements, management
  • Experience of working within a unionised environment
  • A firm understanding of the Subway’s way of working

37.5 hours per week - requirement to work weekends and evening shifts in line with the needs of the operation
