Student Placement - Staffing and Hospitality

Job Introduction

We are looking for an enthusiastic undergraduate to join our staffing and recruitment team at Brighton & Hove Football Club, AMEX Stadium for a 12 month placement. This is for 2nd year students, looking to gain valuable experience before returning to university to complete their final year. Reporting to the HR & Staffing Manager, you will be responsible for recruiting and coordinating casual staff on match days and events at the stadium. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is interested in hospitality, events HR & staffing.

We are keen to hear from people looking for a career in the events or hospitality industry, someone who is passionate and enthusiastic and can see the benefit of joining a market leading, global business. This position involves working match days and events therefore flexibility to work weekends is important

In return for your hard work and commitment during your placement year you may be able to secure a permanent role with the team following graduation.

Role Responsibility

The role involves helping the team to make sure we have enough casual staff on site for all match days and events, duties will be:-

  • Attending recruitment fairs to promote casual roles and recruit suitable candidates.
  • Communicate to staff, both full-time and casual, necessary information relating to the match day/event, e.g. start dates, pay rates, parking.
  • Booking staff transport, arranging uniforms.
  • Resolving payroll queries from casuals.
  • Book appropriate staff for the match day/event.
  • Help at staff check-in during match days, checking everyone has arrived and flagging any issues to the team.

The Ideal Candidate

A 2nd year student looking for a placement to add experience to their studies, someone who is passionate, articulate and highly organised.

The contract will be 40 hours per week  and you will be required to work match days
