Student Placement - Sales & Marketing

Job Introduction

We are keen to hear from undergraduates looking for a student placement as part of their degree, interested in a career in sales, hospitality or events, someone who is passionate and enthusiastic and can see the benefit of joining a market leading, global business. The successful applicant will be based at one of our iconic venues in Central London such as Bateaux or the National Gallery. In return for your hard work and commitment during your placement year you may be able to secure a permanent role with the team following graduation.

Role Responsibility

These exciting roles will manage the end to end enquiry from researching the opportunity through to proposal, quotation and booking. As part of the Sodexo team you will work across some fantastic venues, where we offer an exceptional level of hospitality and events. The role will involve industry and competitor research, putting together marketing collateral, social media and responding to incoming enquiries. This is a role that works across a variety of venues, enabling you to understand your customer’s needs and promote the most suitable venue for their event. The enquiries will be for a range of corporate and private events, understanding the customers needs you will be able to provide information on the most suitable venue.

During your time with us, you will have the opportunity to:-

Spend time in a variety of departments.
Observe other areas of our business such as hospitality & events.
Learn about other areas of our Sodexo Sports and Leisure business.
Potentially support on additional events, Open Golf, Chelsea Flower Show.
Secure a casual contract for your final year of study

The Ideal Candidate

This is a placement for a 2^nd year student who wants to join the team for a 12 month period to learn about the industry. On completion you will return to University for your final year. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, confident, articulate and keen to succeed.
