Soft Services Manager (facilities)

Job Introduction

We are looking to grow the Sodexo team onsite at Ascot racecourse, by adding a Soft Services Manager to the team, this person will manage the cleaning and waste contracts at Ascot which are currently undertaken by external contractors.

Role Responsibility

This role will involve managing the cleaning and waste operation on site, working closing with the racecourse and the existing contractors, ensuring all areas are clean and operational for all events and racing. As part of the Sodexo leadership team on site you will monitor and report on financial performance and manage all aspects of Health & Safety and Quality Assurance. You will implement, adhere to and maintain a waste management training programme, ensuring correct documents and contract requirements of the client are maintained. This is an excellent opportunity to join the team during a period of change and help shape the future requirements of the business.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience of delivering and managing cleaning services and waste operations in a busy public environment
  • High level of technical cleaning knowledge
  • Experience of effectively and proactively managing sub-contractors including other service providers
  • Ability to identify and implement innovative solutions to improve productivity and waste management performance
  • BICSc CPSS (COPC) qualification
  • IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH General Certificate
  • Good baseline understanding of waste management operations
  • Flexible to work weekends when required.
