Soft Services Manager - Catering, Cleaning, Security

Job Introduction

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of our high profile international Universities. As Soft Services Manager, you will play an instrumental role in the delivery of catering, cleaning and security across the University Campus, ensuring safe, quality and impactful service delivery across 17 buildings.

The role offers an exciting and rewarding place to work and would be suited to experienced Facilities Managers who are looking to develop within a growing business.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Management of catering, cleaning and security services across the University campus.
  • Responsible for ensuring the quality of the physical environment and standards of services provided.
  • Effectively lead, motivate and engage operational teams to deliver efficient campus services and student experience
  • Liaise with campus users, local residents, local authority and other external bodies to build effective relationships
  • Effectively prepare and monitor budgets to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Accountable for safety and security of the campus, including compliance and understanding of risk, reporting and governance processes, ensuring that these are fully applied, complied with and adhered to. 
     

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in managing soft FM services, in particular catering
  • Ability to influence change where required
  • Ability to interpret and utilise financial and commercial information.
  • Customer-facing attitude and excellent team building and people management skills
  • Excellent communication skills with the mental agility to ‘think on feet’ and provide convincing practical solutions
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Self motivated and able to work on own initiative within a team environment
  • Intelligent approach to performance monitoring including relevant experience
  • Proficient IT skills, including Excel, Word & Microsoft Office
  • Hold a current IOSH or equivalent certification
