Soft Services Development Manager

Job Introduction

If you’re a soft services facilities manager looking to utilise your skills in a new role then this could be the opportunity for you.

Based in the South of the UK we are looking to recruit a Soft Services Development Manager to provide functional Soft Services Support across the BAE Systems Workplace Services Account ensuring that all requirements of the Soft Services offer are implemented, embedded and delivered in a safe, compliant and efficient manner.

 

Role Responsibility

  • To ensure the consistent delivery of Soft Services across the account, promoting best practice and the development/training of staff as necessary
  • To promote and foster Service Excellence across soft services ensuring continuous improvements are made to deliver quality of service and value for money
  • To provide effective Ownership of the Standards for the delivery of Soft Services at an account level.  Whilst this role will cover all aspects of Soft Services, the role holder will specialise in Catering and Cleaning Services.
  • Ensure that all Safety, Compliance and Quality processes are followed and gaps identified and escalated to resolution.
  • To identify, develop, and where necessary support implementation of innovation and new ideas to enhance the service offer and/or improve efficiency
  • To enhance the commercial performance of Soft Services through financial analysis of performance and identification of improvement opportunities
  • To support the benchmarking of Service delivery to established industry benchmarks
  • To develop, maintain and deliver a Customer Care Programme for all front line service employees in conjunction with the Sodexo Learning & Development function, the Account Leadership Team and Client Stakeholders
  • To maintain awareness of Market Trends and Service development within the industry and to provide a Subject Matter Expert link to the Sodexo Service Operations Platform.
  • To represent the client as a Subject Matter Expert for Soft Service matters with their customer base.
  • To develop, maintain and deliver a Service Strategy for the long term development of Soft Services in conjunction with the Account Leadership Team and Client Stakeholders

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience of working in a similar FM role within the service industry at a comparable level
  • Good Commercial and communication skills, must be able to demonstrate effective verbal and written communication
  • Management knowledge of health & safety and CIEH food safety Level 3 (or equivalent)
  • Able to work on own initiative within a team environment
  • Able to demonstrate attention to detail and adherence to standards
  • Analyse problems analytically, develop opportunities and implement innovative solutions
  • IOSH qualification or equivalent  - Completion of internal Sodexo online SHE training to IOSH is mandatory
  • Proven experience of managing client relationships
  • Proven experience of delivering training to groups
  • Proven track record of leading, managing and developing a team
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in business management qualifications
