Site Support Officer

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Site Support Officer to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

  • Provide Ad-hoc support for our security operations across all services
  • Ensuring buildings, valuables or people are safe and secure
  • To ensure exemplary standards in personal grooming, strictly adhering to the local site uniform requirements.
  • To deal efficiently and effectively with emergencies including fire and bomb scares ensuring the customers are kept fully informed at all times.
  • Provide assistance to third party contractors / visitors ensuring all local site procedures / policies are adhered too.
  • To liaise closely with statutory authorities, dealing with incidents and the provision of information.
  • Patrolling, securing and monitoring premises, sometimes with the aid of closed circuit television (CCTV)
  • Diligent management and maintenance of site records / reference materials including Health & Safety records, Incident Forms and the site occurrence book
  • Ensure a timely response to all security issues and events.
  • To develop excellent working relationships with our onsite customers
  • To carry out search procedures tactfully and professionally according to local client requirements

The Ideal Candidate

  • Ability to focus on best practice, the Site Support Officer will use his/her creative approach and personality to influence at all levels
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. Able to articulate clearly and credibly with various clients, senior managers and all staff.
  • Capability to work unsupervised and take responsibility
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Reliable, punctual and flexible

Package Description

To Control the daily operation to the agreed specification and standards laid down by Sodexo and FCS. To Provide support to the security manager and the rest of the security team by using all the knowledge and experiences gained.

Main Duties and Key Responsibilities

Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly. Visitor Sheet, Contractor Sheets, Delivery Logs, Key Logs etc.

Training

Trained to the standards as laid down by SIA

Licensed by SIA

Further site polices - SOWs, WIs

Undertake training courses which are identified in annual PDR

Health & Safety

Make sure all site H&S policies are followed. Complete incident reports and follow the correct process for communicating them. Report any H&S issues.

General Responsibilities

Call Out staff when required

Car Park checks

Stop & Search

CCTV Monitoring

CCTV Routine Operations

Checking materials leaving site are authorised

Control entry to site of vehicles and pedestrians

Key control

Emergency roles followed

Fault reporting

First Aid Cover

Investigate thefts and report to security manager

Inspection of perimeter fencing on a regular basis

Issue car parking permits/ electronic passes

Lost property collection

Monitoring lone working

Ensuring all AIs are adhered to

Monitoring of fire alarms, intruder alarms and site alarms

Monitoring all gates

Police liaison

Site patrolling

Starter & leaver data updates on permits and passes & other security related areas

Out of hours switchboard

Adhoc area access control

Weekend worker log sheets collated and staff checked on entry lists

Any other reasonable tasks that arise
