Services Manager (Soft FM - MOD site, 12m FTC/Secondment)

Job Introduction

As Services Manager overseeing our hospitality, catering, cleaning, retail contract at Victoria Barracks, you'll have overall accountability and responsibility for the day to day management, co-ordination and control of all Defence activity, as set out in the contract across the designated site.

You'll lead your team(s), ensuring they are engaged, motivated and getting the most from their role

An excellent opportunity for an experienced and commercially aware soft FM services professional with effective leadership skills to join this site on a maternity contract.

The Barracks remains the place from where The Coldstream Guards set off to change the guard at Windsor Castle.

Role Responsibility

  • Overall accountability and responsibility for the day to day management, co-ordination and control of all Defence activity,
  • Plan, organise and manage delivery of all services
  • Ensure standards of service detailed in the contract are achieved, maintained and developed
  • Contribute to the growth of all services in order to meet client and commercial expectations whilst maintaining strict budgetary control within operational business area in line with client and Sodexo expectations
  • Embrace the principles of Collaborative Business Relationships (BS11000), in line with Sodexo’s vision and values
  • Manage all aspects of performance of an assigned group of direct reports

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience of soft services operations including catering, hospitality, retail and cleaning
  • Proven experience of managing long-term client relationships
  • Proven track record of leading, managing and developing a team
  • Proven ability to develop new business opportunities
  • Qualification or relevant experience in Business Management.
  • Management knowledge of HSWA, IOSH and COSHH. 
  • Must be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Computer literate
