Service Development Manager ( Brand Manager)

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting for a Service Development or Brand Manager to join our creative and innovative team.  The team is responsible for creating the foundations of a robust and effective Food Service Portfolio within the UK&I region to drive sustainable and profitable growth. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, refreshing and adapting food services and internal / external brands to all our Segments.

To give you a flavour, our typical weeks looks like this but no 2 weeks are the same!!

Monday - Host kick off meeting for New Service 1 with Segment and Food Platform. Agree action steps, create Sprint programme / contents / timelines / touchpoints. Prepare follow up notes, populate and circulate time plan, set daily stand up,

Tuesday-Day to review SOP/Brand Manual following service refresh Review cost models and case studies for Refresh 2

Wednesday -Work on Sprint1(Initial development phase) for New Service 1

Thursday-Menu tasting/validation days for New Service 3       

Friday-Updating of data from Thursday for New Service 3.Weekly wash-up for Services 1 & 2, Refresh 3                         

We are looking for a very creative individual coupled with someone who is also process driven. You may have a background in operations and have moved into food management or you may have a retail food background. Whatever your background, you are  enthusiastic, driven by collaboration, rise to a challenge, and have the  energy, passion and a desire to get the project right and on time!

 

Role Responsibility

  • Strategy
    • Participates in the development of a transfer and adoption plan across UK&I to accelerate Sodexo competitiveness and differentiation in regional markets.
    • Sizes and qualifies commercial opportunity for key services, tracks and monitors performance, to ensure value identified is captured for Sodexo
    • Deploy segment strategy for each year
    • Brand manage a services/service lines and work to the wider team strategy to deliver
  • Portfolio Optimization
    • Support common Portfolio Management architecture and implements regionally
    • Ensure robust deployment plans and execution
    • Development of market leading services to compliment to portfolio offered to our segments
    • Identification of Portfolio gaps and potential for new development
  • Best Practice & Service Transfer
    • Understands Services/Brands and is able to ensure best fit in deployment
    • Deploys tools and mechanisms to capture, promote and respond to best practice methodologies globally
    • Uses common transfer and adoption methodologies to ensure Sodexo speed to market and driving regional client and consumer satisfaction
    • Ensures all development/refresh is in line with Global standards
    • Responsible for the creation of fully compliant services that are fully adoptable by segment, both operationally and financially.
  •  Co-ordination
    • Segment and Food Platform team
    • Regional Supply Management and Research and Development
    • Regional  IS&T
    • Region Food Platform leadership and teams
    • Other Regional Food Platform teams, to assure full alignment
    • Global/Regional Segment Marketing teams, to assure full understanding of Segment needs
 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Enthusiastic, driven communicator who enjoys working to deadlines and under pressure
  • Demonstrable professional experience in the Food Service Industry, with experience in service/ brand development, operations and marketing/promotions
  • Experience leading projects, demonstrating collaborative working and timely delivery
  • Strong knowledge of Food Service Industry trends
  • Understanding of ‘ brand’ guidelines, development and operational requirements and support
  • Strong experience and proven track record in delivering Food Service Standards
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time and on budget
  • High level of computer literacy (Microsoft and project management)
  • High level of understanding of financial reporting, performance and tracking
  • Strong data management skills. Ability to sort large amount of data and consolidate output
  • Flexibility to work “if applicable” with different time zones and schedules and weekends if required
