Senior Staffing Coordinator

Job Introduction

Sodexo have secured a new contract with Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre, which is set to become the pre-eminent events venue in the South East. The centre is set to open early in 2018 and Sodexo are extremely pleased to be part of this exciting new venture.  This role offers the opportunity to join the team from the start and establish the venue as a leading events destination. As a Senior Staffing Coordinator you will support the operational requirements of the venue, ensuring the staffing requirements for events and conferences are met.

Role Responsibility

In this role you will be responsible for recruitment, induction and training, working across several business areas you will ensure that the correct number of casual staff are recruited and trained to ensure an exceptional level of service. You will have the support of the experienced Staffing team based at Ascot racecourse and will be required to build relationships to ensure a strong partnership.

This is a varied role, which will involve :-

  • Attending career fairs
  • Interviewing and recruiting staff
  • Reporting on staffing costs and keeping in budget
  • Organising transport, accommodation and uniforms
  • Reviewing team training and updating records
  • Checking payroll and solving any issues
  • Being operational on event days, checking in staff and managing any problems
 

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who wants to make an impact in this exciting new role; you will need to be highly organised, passionate and flexible to work at events. Building relationships with different teams and our Client is key but you will also need to be comfortable working alone to get work done. With either experience in staffing or experience of working in the event industry you will be motivated, confident and able to manage a busy workload. With good communication skills you will also be confident with MS Office and have good attention to detail.
