Senior Employee Relations Advisor

An excellent opportunity has arisen with the HR Shared Service team for Sodexo due to internal progression; we are looking for a Senior Employee Relations Advisor to join the HR team.  Sodexo are a leading global facilities management business with an enviable reputation in the industry. This role involves working as part of the established employee relations team, providing a remote and responsive advisory service. You will support Managers with full case management and administrative support on a variety of Employee Relations issues.

Role Responsibility

12 month fixed term contract - potential to extend further.

Managing a range of cases you will support managers remotely with general advice, resolving and responding to employee relations queries, which will be predominately escalated from our HR Services Team. In addition you will coach managers on how to deal with potential employee relations issues at the informal stage, prior to any formal action being taken, this will build their confidence to manage a variety of situations. In this role you will provide practical advice and guidance to managers, advising on all cases up to and including dismissal. This is an ideal role for someone who is looking to strengthen their experience in HR; as you will gain excellent knowledge from working on a variety of cases within an experienced team.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience of providing HR advice in line with relevant policies and legislation
  • Well organised with the ability to plan, prioritise and manage high volume of case work and queries to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to write a clear, understandable and concise manner
  • Understanding of customer requirements and is able to take ownership of problems/issues and recommend practical HR solutions
