Job Introduction

We have a rare opportunity to join our business development team within Sodexo Sports and Leisure as a Bid Manager, where you will work across the entire range of venues we support from sports stadiums, conference centres, heritage buildings, airport lounges and visitor attractions. Responsible for delivering and producing high profile, high quality bid submissions.

 This role is UK & Ireland focussed although there will be the opportunity to support on Global bids on occasion. Taking ownership of the bid, you will have support from the central team however this is very much a hands on, bid writing opportunity.

The location of this role is flexible however a large amount of time will need to be spent in London.

Role Responsibility

This autonomous role will require innovation and creativity to ensure market leading bids are produced. Responsible for the delivery and production of high profile, high quality bid submissions for the Sports & Leisure UK & Ireland team by co-ordinating a virtual team in the management and production of bid submissions.  Drawing upon the expertise of others and liaising with the wider team, you will speak to graphic designers, bid writers and the bid library manager. Ensuring one tone of voice, you will write copy and also liaise with subject matter experts across the business for their contributions. This role will also involve facilitating workshops with the document authors to develop win themes, story boards and document structure to help the team to produce a clear, consistent and complete submission document. The Ideal Candidate

  • Relevant professional experience in supporting business development, including project management of bids, systems and processes
  • Experience in working with senior management to manage delivery of timelines and outputs
  • Experience of working in a corporate/business focused environment
  • Excellent communicator with strong influencing skills
  • Proven capacity to effectively manage complex proposal development processes
  • Demonstrated achievement in the management and production of bid submissions at RFI, RFP and presentation stages
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage complex tenders, precise scheduling and multiple and shifting priorities.
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office and at least a good working knowledge of InDesign is essential
 

Package Description

Up to  £54,000 - depending on experience + 15% Bonus + Benefits Package
