Sales and Events Coordinator

Job Introduction

We have an excellent opportunity for someone to join the Sodexo team at Tyne and Wear Museums to help turn enquiries into sales, coordinate events and increase profits across the portfolio. This is a varied, proactive role that is responsible for generating sales and securing new business.

Sodexo Prestige is the Sports and Leisure division of Sodexo UK & Ireland. Our heritage is built on catering and hospitality experience and fuelled by our passion for exceptional food and service. For over 40 years we have been providing bespoke catering and hospitality services for sports stadia, racecourses, visitor, attractions, historic venues, major events and premium airline lounges.

 

Role Responsibility

You will proactively generate sales, utilising event search, previous clients, and non converted enquiries to develop new business. Thinking creatively you will generate new ideas, assist in marketing and help develop the sales plan for the venues. Building long term relationship with clients and customers you will help drive profits into the business. Working to a target of 25 calls a week, you will also send out marketing information, take enquiries and show potential customers these unique venues.

  • Good attention to detail
  • Negotiation techniques to convert sales
  • Excellent time management
  • Professional Telephone Manner
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • Previous Experience in Event Sales would be advantageous
