Sales & Event Coordinator

Job Introduction

This is a fixed term contract for up to 12 months

We are looking for a Sales and Events Coordinator to join our team at Tyne and Wear Museums, this is to proactively grow business and ensure our events are highly successful. This is an excellent role for a passionate, service focused individual who has an interest in the events and hospitality industry.

Role Responsibility

You will be driving enquiries and researching new business opportunities, conducting competitor analysis and generating leads for potential new clients. You will research corporate and industry partner annual events calendars and generate leads for the Regional Sales Managers. You will need to gain an understanding of the market locally, conducting research across the industry to understand how we can sell our range of services and venues in comparison to the competition. The role involves using marketing collateral to promote the venue and developing a presentation to showcase the unique venues and food experiences associated with our prestigious venues.  Speaking to customers approaching the venue for events you will also take bookings, convert enquiries into sales and take time to understand the customer’s needs. This is an excellent opportunity to join a global business within an exciting venue and with access to a wealth of training.

 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in hospitality or events preferred.
  • Sales experience or ability to work to targets.
  • A good researcher, negotiator, and client focussed approach
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Excellent communication verbal & written skills
  • Confident presentation ability
 

Package Description

Up to £22,000 + Bonus + Benefits

12 month fixed term contract
