Job Introduction

We have an excellent opportunity to join the Sodexo team on site at Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club as Restaurant Manager. You will be the face of hospitality at the excellent Amex stadium, delivering 1st class customer service and ensuring customer expectations are exceeded at this Premier League Club.

The role involves managing the dining and banqueting experience at the AMEX stadium, liaising with the Conference Manager and ensuring the details are communicated effectively. In addition you will  lead and train Duty managers, ensuring KPIs are set out and delivered.

Role Responsibility

  • Manage the dining operation to ensure that all match day events are set up in a timely manner and to the required standard
  • Plan the weekly match day set up in line with the conference business
  • Conduct post-match walk arounds ensure standard are being maintained and areas are kept clean and the business is performing in line with its KPIS
  • Manage Sunday lunch and banqueting, find ways to improve and drive the business
  • Induct, brief and train the full-time team on the department standard operational procedures
  • Maintain a proactive attitude to make continuous improvement by reviewing service styles, menu offers as well as customer feedback
  • Client feedback is reviewed both during and post the event to identify recurring themes or look for ways to make a positive change.
  • Continually seek ways to enhance quality through innovation  by monitoring performance against existing standards 
  • Manage the operations team to ensure that both business objectives are met and standards are delivered
  • Sales trends are reviewed to influence decision making at create amazing guest experiences 
  • Undertake Duty management and Operational shifts as required to support the business.
  • Ensure menus are well written and presented across site
  • Manage the Health & Safety requirements for the site.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in Restaurant & Banqueting operations
  • Excellent knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Resilience to manage multiple tasks and prioritise importance in terms of operations and planning.
  • Experience of man management, training and the development people
  • The ability to Manage conference and dinners experience of a large events
