We have an exceptional opportunity for someone to manage and operate the day visitor business at Blair Castle, a fantastic venue with a unique history. We are looking for someone to support our objective of becoming the first choice caterer for Sodexo events in Scotland. You will do this through, staff management, working with the teams to develop a fantastic offering and ensuring service level and standards are of high standard.

Role Responsibility

Sodexo Prestige is the Sports and Leisure division of Sodexo UK & Ireland. Our heritage is built on catering and hospitality experience and fuelled by our passion for exceptional food and service. For over 40 years we have been providing bespoke catering and hospitality services for sports stadia, racecourses, visitor, attractions, historic venues, major events and premium airline lounges. Recognised across the globe for hospitality, we help create exceptional moments at extraordinary events such as Royal Ascot, Tour de France, The Open Championship, RHS Chelsea Flower Show and the Rugby World Cup.

This role involves providing a high standard of catering services within the restaurant and events run at the Castle, including the day visitor attractions. You will work with the Head Chef and Management team to create food offers that promotes Scottish produce and is appealing to the castles visitors. You will be responsible for delivering Sodexo’s annual financial targets for the venue, including all reporting. Managing the staff on site you will recruit, train and deal with any staff concerns and staff engagement by reward and recognition schemes, i.e. employee of the month. You will also ensure there is good communication amongst the staff, weekly meetings, regional meetings and individual staff appraisals.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience gained within a hospitality environment
  • Experience in delivering a high standard of service
  • Have previously managed a team
  • Experience of working with health and safety / food safety procedures
