Resourcing Assistant

Job Introduction

We have an opportunity to join our HR Shared Service Centre in Salford as a Resourcing Assistant; the centre has been open for three years and has continued to grow, there are teams focusing on all aspects of HR, from Learning & Development, Rewards, Payroll and Resourcing. This role involves providing resourcing and recruitment support to the business, resolving queries related to recruitment whilst supporting the team of Resourcing Partners with arranging interviews and preparing contracts of employment.

 

Role Responsibility


Reporting to the Resourcing Team Leader, you will be taking incoming calls from all areas of Sodexo, providing advice on aspects of recruitment from attracting candidates to checking right to work documents. In addition you will act upon requests from the wider resourcing team, providing administrative support to the Resourcing Partners, calling people to arrange their interviews, completing interview administration and preparing all contracts and offer paperwork. In addition you will work with Resourcing Team Leader and team members to provide suggestions and identify better ways of working for the team and provide “hands on” support to other HR Services Teams when required. The team work closely together and often have social events to promote team building, the Social Committee love to arrange events such as taking part in the ‘Great Manchester Run’ to raise money for our nominated charity. In addition most recently the PeopleCentre was shortlisted for the HR team of the year award at the 2015 CIPD awards; a fantastic achievement given the centre was only set up in 2013!

The Ideal Candidate

  • Committed to providing a helpful, friendly, responsive customer service.
  • Ability to identify situations, which could result in potential customer complaints, in order to prevent the complaint from occurring
  • Well organised, with ability to work to tight deadlines and pays attention to detail
  • Strong understanding and respect for confidentiality
  • Good communication skills, with ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and writing
  • Accurate keyboard and data entry skills
  • Maintains a professional conduct at all times, remaining calm and in control.
  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Ability to work cooperatively within a team and on own initiative.
  • Customer service focussed
  • Ideally some Recruitment experience, with working knowledge of theory and best practice

     

Package Description

Up to £18,000 depending on experience

7.45am - 4.15pm and 9.45am - 6.15pm. These are alternated weekly.
