Relief Catering Manager (Term Time Only)

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Relief Catering Manager, with excellent cookery and communication skills to provide additional craft support, management relief cover and support the mobilisation of new contracts in the Barnsley and surrounding area. The role will suit ambitious and flexible Catering or Chef Managers with a passion for innovation and skilled in food delivery and customer experience.

This role offers working term time only – Monday to Friday with travel.

 

Role Responsibility

  • Support the mobilisations of new contracts
  • Provide relief support to sites in order to oversee the preparation, delivery and production of quality food for students across breakfast, lunch and break periods plus the management and engagement of teams.
  • Provide craft support to sites to develop a food offering to ensure it consistently meets the needs of our customer including allergens and nutrition,
  • Support to identify opportunities to grow and develop the customer bases.
  • Manage all aspects of Health & Safety and Food Hygiene

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience as a Catering Manager, Chef Manager or Head Chef, with flexibility to travel and provide various relief support
  • Excellent communication skills and customer focus
  • Experience of managing a team to deliver service excellence
  • Industry acumen and knowledge of external catering developments and innovations
  • Experience working in a standards/compliance environment
  • NVQ Chef/Catering qualifications or equivalent
  • Good administration skills
