Registered General Nurse (RGN)

Job Introduction

HMP YOI Bronzefield are looking for Registered General Nurses and Registered Mental Health Nurses to come and join our dedicated team of professional clinicians.

Awarded a bronze accreditation by Investors in People, HMP YOI Bronzefield focuses on providing needs-based services and programmes aimed at rehabilitating and maintaining the well-being of prisoners. HMP YOI Bronzefield is an all female prison that can hold up to 527 women.

Sodexo Justice delivers custodial and community rehabilitation services that challenge offending behaviour, protect the public and offer individuals the opportunity to change their lives for the better. We deliver the total operation of five prisons within England, Scotland and Wales and own six Community Rehabilitation Companies in partnership with crime reduction charity Nacro.

Role Responsibility

You will be joining a unique, exciting but challenging environment, where you will have a range of nursing duties, from health promotion to first response emergency care and will be central to the continued successful operation of the site.

We are looking for people who have the ability to run a variety of clinics – such as chronic disease management and venopuncture, the ability to link up and work closely with other agencies to ensure holistic shared care planning for our women.

The Ideal Candidate

• RGN - Registered General Nurse
• Previous experience and the ability to work in a fast paced environment doing varied nursing duties
• Experience as a Band 5 equivalent nurse
• Up to date NMC registration
• Passionate and committed to the role we play in rehabilitating and maintaining the wellbeing of our women
• Desire to continuously improve yourself through further development as appropriate

 Desirable

• Previous experience within a secure/custodial environment

Package Description

Starting salary of £32,447.86 + London Weighting £287.75 per month and excellent benefits including personal and professional development opportunities with a chance to specialise, support with NMC fees, season ticket loans, free meals, free parking, subsidised gym membership, group discount schemes, pension and 28 days holiday

Full and part time hours are available and you are expected to work across 7 days through a team self rostering shift pattern system - standard shifts are three long days.
