Regional Retail Operations Manager
Job Introduction
Sodexo are currently looking to recruit an experienced Regional Retail Operations Manager.
Reporting to the Retail Director, in this role, you’ll maximise the profitability and sales volumes generated from retail units across Sodexo’s Healthcare Segment, by ensuring a high-quality service is maintained and ensuring optimal trading margins are achieved.

We help to enhance the patient environment (including patient dining, cleaning/housekeeping, retail services), provide clinical support (equipment sterilisation) and manage technical estates teams (estates management, asset management, land maintenance and energy management).
Role Responsibility
- Support the delivery of the budgeted profit and turnover for all retail units and accounts as agreed with line management. This through compilation of agreed business growth plans with the onsite operations teams
- Provide strategic planning and specialist insight to support operations in the delivery of all financial targets and that these are achieved within a framework of absolute financial control
- Identify, develop and deliver initiatives to drive profitable retail volumes
- Optimise the use of retail space through effective deployment of range plans and product mix
- Support the onsite operations team with regards to regular and meaningful client review meetings followed by written communication/proposals etc.
- When necessary manage clients proactively, ensuring their expectations are exceeded, and effectively communicate all client needs and business opportunities
- Ensure the Sodexo Health & Safety policy is adhered to and that all direct reports are aware of the policy and their responsibility for its implementation
- Hold regular team updates and conference calls to identify growth opportunities, spread best practice, develop capability, and generate innovation
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience of successfully managing client relationships
- Significant proven track record of leading, managing and developing a team
- Proven ability to develop new retail business opportunities
- Experience of profit and loss accounts and budget management
- Must be able to demonstrate: excellent communication skills, be persuasive and decisive
- Literate in IT with strong commercial and analytical skills
