Regional Estates Manager/Senior Surveyor

Job Introduction

As Regional Estates Manager / Senior Surveyor, you'll be responsible for providing oversight for all Landlord and Tenant related matters and the delivery of estate management services across a defined region of the estate.

The role involves monitoring annual property running costs on behalf of our client, managing lease events to deliver commercial value and supporting the estates strategy. A key element of this role is stakeholder management and relationships, as you'll work closely with the Client contacts, Supply Chain providers and internal team(s).

We are proud to deliver this new Integrator model, Government contract with a large scale property portfolio working alongside a dedicated team for the business segment.

Role Responsibility

  • Manage all estates management and associated impacts across [c.200] properties.
  • Oversight on a number of key budgets for Rent and Service Charge Payable and Receivable, Income Receivable, Rates Payable and Estate Management Fees
  • Lead negotiations for renewals and re gears and making recommendations to the DWP in the form of business cases for their region
  • Management of the clients appointed supply chain for estates and legal services ensuring they are delivering optimum customer service to DWP in accordance with agreed SLA’s
  • Support the regional field team responsible for the management of the clients FM supply chain towers
  • Ensure the successful and effective partnership relationship is in place with the client and key stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective operational management of the client estate
  • Ensure the safety and compliance of customer, team and assets
     

The Ideal Candidate

  • Comprehensive experience in the property industry
  • RICS or similar professional qualification
  • Proven experience of managing diverse property portfolios contributing to the development and delivery of estate strategies
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Management experience
  • Proven track record delivering material cost savings through effective estate management
  • Strong skills and experience in managing projects – so that plans are well executed and that stakeholders are fully engaged
  • Experience of working in both Public and Private sectors
  • Experience of working in a multi-site complex estate
  • Desired knowledge of the FM estate industries
  • Highly organised with effective time management and the ability to prioritise & manage complex projects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work with people at all levels and across functions
  • Client focussed mind set and able to build client relationships at all levels
  • Persuasive with influencing skills to win support for the benefit of the business
  • Self-motivated, proactive and work well under pressure
  • Flexible and able to cope with ambiguity
  • Team player
