Job Introduction
Peyton & Byrne are seeking a truly individual and unique character to set the tone of our business by displaying warmth, individuality and empowerment by welcoming our guests warmly and treating them as an individual where nothing is impossible. You will ensure guests are sat in the restaurant logically and efficiently and to their satisfaction, you will make sure that all guests are proactively helped with any queries and/or enquiries they may have, face to face, via e-mail and the telephone in addition to managing reservations.
Ultimately, you will treat each and every guest as a familiar customer and remember their preferences, likes and dislikes to the best of your ability. Personalization is the key.
Role Responsibility
- To inject enthusiasm into work each day & to give a fast and friendly service to all our guests
- To make a positive impact on all arriving and leaving guests
- To ensure we are striving to make every guest a repeat guest by giving the highest standard of care to each of them; engaging every customer in conversation
- Allocate suitable and appropriate tables to all booked guests using the information and intelligence available on Open table
- Greeting all customers warmly, assigning & escorting them to a table according to a present table section plan
- To converse with guests regarding the restaurant, bar, drinks list, set menus and promotions taking place on site
- Complete “blocking/VIP” reservation report and clearly communicate to all departments as needed
- To build our database of guests/regulars and their detailed profiles using Bookatable
- Confirm reservations by placing a polite call to the guest 24 hours ahead of bookings, as per the restaurants policy
- Be knowledgeable and informed about food, drink, products and service so that guest’s questions can be answered and they can be informed correctly
- To be responsive to all training provided and to attend all training sessions
- To act as a role model to all new employees, by showing a positive approach to team spirit through excellent team support and positive communication with all departments
- To cultivate excellent relationships and rapport with other departments and client representatives
- Be involved with preparing and participating in team briefings with managers and colleagues from floor and kitchen, as required
- To be supportive with the training of trainees in their area of expertise
- To ensure key points of service are adhered to
- To ensure that the reception area is set for success at all times
- To look the part as one of the key ‘faces’ of the company and the restaurant
