Receptionist

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Receptionist to join our busy team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

  • Welcoming staff and visitors to the building
  • Delivering a hosting/concierge experience for visitors
  • Coordinating meeting room and hospitality bookings
  • Ensuring customer requirements and expectation are met
  • Act as point of contact for internal/external telephone queries in an efficient and concise manner
  • Where appropriate, reporting of accidents and incidents
  • Maintain a tidy and professional reception area
  • Assist with building inductions for new starters if/when required
  • Assist with setting up of meeting room display/video conferencing equipment for on-site meetings

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Working knowledge of MS Office
  • Good use of English language (written and spoken)
  • Professional and courteous telephone manner
  • Exemplary customer services skills
  • Well organised, efficient and proactive
  • Ability to work as an individual and as part of a team

Desirable

  • Previous administrative experience
  • Previous experience of working in the field of facilities management
  • Basic knowledge of Health & Safety

Package Description

We are looking for a dual role candidate that can work as part of the Catering Team on a day to day basis, and backfill for Reception and the staff shop as and when required. This role is covering Maternity Leave for up to 12 months. The contracted hours are 34 per week and the rate of pay is £7.50 to £8.50. Experience working in a busy Reception area is a key requirement of the role. Training within  the Catering and the Staff Shop will be provided although previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous. Working hours would be 7am until 3pm Monday to Thursday and 7am until 11am on a Friday. Flexibilty is required as you maybe required to work until 5.00pm at short notice.
