Receptionist / Switchboard Operator

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Receptionist /Switchboard Operator to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

Main assignments:

To answer and manage internal and external calls received, resolving customer queries effectively and efficiently in a polite and courteous manner
To use questioning and listening techniques to identify customer requests
To carry out the daily log-on test / closing down procedure
To be aware of the current emergency / reporting procedures and be prepared to implement these should the need arise
To operate the Switchboard Console competently
To undertake pro-active database updating and recording 'out of database' information

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate for this role will have:

Reception experience, ideally in a Corporate environment
Exceptional front of house and interpersonal skills
Computer literacy skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
Knowledge of switchboard systems (advantageous)
A flexible “can do” attitude
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The ability to multi-task within a fast paced environment
