We have a unique opportunity for an ambitious and developing Quality Surveyor to join our FM team who specialise in full lifecycle refurbishment and construction projects for exciting clients such as Google, Paypal, the Royal Academy of Arts and the National Gallery not to mention several restaurants, airports and universities. In this diverse and challenging position you will be exposed to a variety of projects ranging from £500k to £5m, provided with support and guidance to help you achieve RICS Chartership, travel nationally to client sites and balance this with home working as well as time with colleagues in our busy Leeds office.

Role Responsibility

  • To assist in the provision of quantity surveying services and delivery of Hard Service Project works
  • Review project requests, analyse information and support with end to end cost management duties, including feasibility estimates, value engineering and cost control
  • Support with Contract Administration duties, including interim valuations, variation / change control procedures, final account preparation and issuing of all required certificates under the Contract
  • Assist with the preparation of tender and contract documents such as bills of quantities
  • Negotiate with Contractors and Clients around project cost
  • Liaising with; clients, end users, accounts, operations and senior team colleagues
  • Ensure strict adherence to process and governance

The Ideal Candidate

  • Degree level or equivalent in Quantity Surveying
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in construction / maintenance environment
  • Supply chain management
  • Ability to keep a focus on day-to-day performance whilst simultaneously pursuing longer-term opportunities
  • Experienced in managing budgets and project finance
  • Experience in administering JCT and NEC3/4 forms of Contract
  • Working towards chartership would be advantageous however this is not essential
  • Previous experience in a client facing environment
  • Ability to work remotely and off own volition
  • Good communicator at all levels ability to negotiate and mediate contract solutions to the advantage of the business within the parameter of the contracts
