Sodexo are building a brand new team to support the solution design and operational readiness in preparation of the new Campus for 2019. These opportunities will lead the team and will potentially lead the teams to work in the new full time structure once the Campus is up and running. This is a fantastic opportunity to come and work on an exciting new iconic project in Cambridge.

Sodexo are recruiting for a QSHE Advisor to support the new site in Cambridge and operational teams working on the client account in all areas of quality, safety, health, risk and environment. As QSHE Advisor, you will be a Subject matter expert in Technical Safety issues such as;

- Legionella

-Technical SSOW (permit to work)

It is essential for the QSHE Advisor to have a background of working in a Facilities Management environment, a specialist in risk assessments and quality would be fantastic for this role. You will also have operational responsibilities for delivering QSHE support in the client accounts where new tech and services are being trialled and piloted.

You will provide Quality, safety, health, risk and environmental operational readiness support to the Sodexo team at NCS and Southern client customer sites in accordance with Company procedures and agreed Strategies, site plans and objectives.

The role holder will enable operational staff to deliver the service / contract while ensuring through Governance processes; that our colleagues work in line with Pharmaceutical Quality Regulatory and HSE compliance.

 

 

Role Responsibility

  • Formulate, implement, monitor and review NCS annual health and safety action plans to ensure the contract operations comply with best practice and legislative requirements.
  • To support the production of all required NCS FM operational readiness outputs for the client such as RAMs and SOPs etc.
  • Formulate, implement, monitor and review NCS annual Quality action plans to ensure the contract operations comply with best practice and pharmaceutical regulatory body requirements.
  • Promote and develop a Safety and Quality culture which secures effective implementation of policy, procedures and responsibilities throughout the Sodexo operational delivery at NCS.
  • Monitor the SSoW and Permit System across NCS including supporting and helping to build competence of Technical staff within the account.
  • Provide a high level of operational service support to management and operational staff, establishing specific requirements, identifying and facilitating the resolution of all specific issues to add value to operations.
  • Ensure PUWER assessments and supporting documents are developed and maintained
  • Support the review and development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), method statements and risk assessments.
  • Ensure consistent application and communication of Sodexo H&S and Environmental and Quality policies, procedures, practices and initiatives.
  • Management of near misses, accidents and RIDDOR investigations, and follow up actions at NCS.
  • Providing proactive and reactive support following all audits and LTI or RIDDOR accidents.
  • Support all relevant QHSE criteria completed as part of change control processes.
  • Assist in preparation of Business Continuity Plans (Following training and use of pro forma document)
  • Liaise with the SHE team to ensure common practices are maintained and cover is provided.
  • Report Quality and SHE Governance data regularly and accurately as required, monitoring both lead and lag indicators for Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPAs) or Improvements

The Ideal Candidate

Essential:

  • Health and safety qualification – NEBOSH Certificated minimum
  • Candidates should have a solid grounding and practical experience in working in facilities management or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing or Research and Development areas – hard and soft disciplines, particularly within Engineering / Technical / Scientific Safety and Quality Compliance. 
  • The candidate should have a good background in auditing from either Safety or Pharmaceutical Quality.
  • Reporting: Ability to write persuasive and effective reports and communications, which clearly define findings and their causes, and recommendations made.
  • Analytical Skills: Must possess strong analytical skills. The ability to systematically gather information from a variety of sources, analyse information, identify implications of data, draw appropriate conclusions, generate viable alternative solutions to a question or problem, and evaluate the consequences of choosing each alternative.
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written English) are required.

This is an important role within the Sodexo/client organisation, with oversight from senior Sodexo management. The role is primarily focussed on supporting QSHE activities at the NCS site, however any other skills (e.g. Technical knowledge, project management, people management) that the individual may have will be expected to be utilised. The business needs will vary in line with contract requirements and there is an expectation that you will provide support as necessary within your abilities and capabilities, this includes support of Senior Managers, Operations / Zone Managers and Service Managers in delivery of a compliant Customer Service across UK site based operations.
