Project Manager - Hard FM Services

Job Introduction

 

We're looking for an experienced Project Manager who loves to deliver high quality commercial infrastructure and fit out projects across a range of industries; healthcare, justice, government and agencies, schools and universities, blue chip companies and sports and leisure venues. Predominantly the projects you’ll work on will be based in London and the South so flexibly to travel across these regions is essential but you’ll balance your week with home working.

You’ll be given the autonomy to manage projects from inception to completion and be accountable for controlling all aspects of delivery; clients, end users, accounts, operations and senior team colleagues. You’ll have responsibility for project process’, governance and risk mitigation and will provide effective organisation, co-ordination and planning to ensure projects are completed on time and within contractual timescales. You’ll put your safety and the safety of those around you at the core of what you do.

Although you’ll be working to challenging deadlines and juggling multiple priorities; you’ll be supported by a team of experienced professionals who work collaboratively, support each other’s development and who are passionate about what they do and how they do it.  You’ll receive a balanced work/life ratio which emphasizes Sodexo’s family centric ethos. Role Responsibility

It is vital you always consider your safety and the safety of others when carrying out your duties.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • All project stages; scoping, design, agreeing designs, pre-start, onsite management, closing out and handover
  • Translating our clients’ requirements and providing appropriate solutions
  • Managing the different internal client’s project budget and where required value engineering the installation to ensure maximum profitability
  • Providing technical support to the different parts of the business and delivering on the Sodexo vision following successful new contracts.
  • Acting as an Employer’s agent or contract administrator to ensure that the project meets all stakeholder’s expectations

The Ideal Candidate

  • Educated to a degree level or equivalent in a relevant building services/ surveying/ project management discipline
  • Proven experience as a Project Management professional within construction or maintenance environment as client or consultancy preferred
  • Experienced in managing budgets and project finance and the ability to remain focused on day-to-day performance whilst simultaneously pursuing longer-term goals
  • Accredited knowledge of health and safety management with construction based projects is a must
  • Self-motivated and able to make project critical decisions autonomously
  • Supply chain management experience would be advantageous
