We currently have an opportunity for a Programme Facilitator to join BeNCH CRC on a 12 months fixed term contract based in Luton.

This is a great opportunity to join our teams contributing to the delivery of both accredited and non-accredited group work programmes. You will play an integral part our work with service users, this will include taking a central role in their supervision and the delivery of group work programmes.  We offer excellent opportunities for personal and professional development and are committed to supportive induction, appraisal and supervision.

Role Responsibility

As a Programme Facilitator/Tutor you will be required to prepare and deliver individual and group interventions to service users. Programmes tackle  Domestic Abuse , General  Offending Behaviour, Violence, Substance misuse and other key causes of crime.

The preparation of reports and other documentation is a key requirement of the role and you will be required to liaise with other departments within BeNCH CRC to ensure continuity for service users during their supervision.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrate effective communication skills both in a group and on an individual basis
  • Ensure the key principles of the programme are understood, delivered and the integrity of accredited programme is maintained
  • Have the ability to respond appropriately to challenge, conflict or questions within the programme environment
  • Demonstrate good verbal, numeracy and written skills
  • Be flexible and show initiative
  • Demonstrate a strong team ethic. 
  • Have experience of working with a variety of people who have experienced a range of social/personal difficulties 
  • Have a basic knowledge of the Criminal Justice System

Package Description

Band 3 - £22,039 to £27,373 (plus unsocial hours payment)

37 hours per week, 27 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, defined contribution pension scheme, company sick pay, group discount scheme.

There is an expectation that operational staff work some evenings and weekends to enable offenders to be supervised without jeopardising their employment.

The role of BeNCH CRC is to rehabilitate service users, reduce reoffending and protect the public and we are one of six CRCs operated by Sodexo Justice Services in the UK.  We work with offenders both in the community and in custody to deliver the sentence of the court, to rehabilitate them and to provide a range of programmes and interventions to turn their lives around.  We deliver effective offender management and rehabilitation services to low and medium risk offenders and our highly skilled staff work in a range of disciplines to make a real difference.  Our aim is to create a better future for the people we work  with - offenders, victims and their families and local communities.  We are proud to have strong relationships with other criminal justice agencies, local authorities, health trusts, employment and training providers, and work with contracted partners to enhance delivery to our service users.
