Prison Custody Officer (PCO)

Job Introduction

HMP/YOI Peterborough is a purpose-built prison; the only one in the country to hold both men and women. The Ideal Candidate

Not everybody is cut out for a career as a Prison Custody Officer, but it can be very rewarding helping people to turn their lives around and improve the safety of communities. Making a positive difference in a highly secure environment where no two days are the same, you should have the flexibility to work a 40-hour shift pattern covering evenings, weekends and some bank holidays.

Recruitment process:

•Full completion of application form on Sodexo careers website by 15 March 2017.

•Fitness test: 25 March 2017

•Video interviews will be emailed to you 27 March 2017 and must be completed by the 2 April 2017.

•Face to face interview 10 - 12 April 2017.

•Start Date of course: 15 May 2017 (You will be required to complete a mandatory 7 week training course.  No annual leave can be taken during this period.)

£19,450 rising to £20,450 + pension + benefits
