Plumbing Supervisor

Job Introduction

As Plumbing Supervisor you will carry out a varied range of duties across a busy Healthcare establishment.  The duties will be across the Wythenshawe and Withington Hospital sites as required. 

Reporting to the Ventilation and Plumbing Assistant Operations Manager you’ll have a good working knowledge of Health and Safety at work act 1974 and good working knowledge of Legionella L8 and HSG274.

Role Responsibility

  • Conduct recharge work estimates inclusive of timed break downs as directed by senior managers
  • Ensure full compliance with Statutory and Non Statutory PPM work
  • Ensure the docket system operates for the existing sites and new build
  • Overall responsibility for ensuring docket priority is adhered to
  • Manage minor multi discipline projects from request through to handover via DEL or sub-contractors and ensure all recharge paper work is passed to the Estates Planning Officer
  • Ensure all staff conform to health and safety requirements
  • Advise the Technical Operations Manager on remedial action required on repairs and PPM jobs
  • Advise on fault finding on systems and instruct others where required
  • Review all PPM records and ensure these are kept as directed by the senior managers
  • Control permit requests for shutdowns, drain down of systems advising the Trust on department notification as directed by senior managers

The Ideal Candidate

  • Good working knowledge of the BMS systems and HTM’s
  • Previous supervisory experience within a Technical services team
  • Possess effective time management skills
  • Good communications both written and verbal
  • Numerate and computer literate
  • Effective Team Player
  • A strong customer care approach
