Planner Scheduler
Job Introduction
We are currently looking to recruit a Planner Scheduler to take responsibility for the effective execution of all maintenance work, helpdesk services and control processes.
Role Responsibility
- To be reponsible for the efficient and effective use of planning and scheduling all resources to conduct maintenance activities which result in minimum downtime and maximum productivity
- To manage the Helpdesk, ensuring that all work requests are handled efficiently and in line with agreed SOPs
- To provide equipment-related expertise and technical guidance on preventive maintenance activities
- To develop and maintain effective relationships with the clients, suppliers and key internal contacts
- To support the delivery of the accounts Hard Services objectives
- To line manage a Helpdesk Coordinator
- To act as the principle contact between the Maintenance department and Operation Planning
- To obtain and organise all information required for the Crafts to perform work
- To provide job estimates based on craft or skills required, sequence required and number required
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will:
Essential
- Have adequate craft knowledge and skill to accurately estimate labour hours, material requirement and skills needed to complete a job
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management and organisational skills
- Knowledge of and understanding of the maintenance processes and use of the work order system, planning and scheduling and storeroom processes
Desireable
- Be electrical qualified to HNC or Craft Technician level
- Have experience of using a works order planning database, eg Maximo
- Have experience in working within strict site H&S rules where rigorous Permit to Work processes are in place
- Have experience of managing people and performance
Package Description
