Patient Services Team Leader

Job Introduction

We currently have an opportunity for a Patient Services Team Leader to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.

Role Responsibility

  • To ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained at all times.
  • To ensure that responses and response times are achieved within all departments
  • Complete daily audits within the areas of responsibility to ensure that high standards are being maintained, taking remedial action to rectify any substandard of cleanliness.
  • Carry out quality audits in each are and monitor on a weekly basis.
  • To work with and give assistance to machine operatives as and when required.
  • Communicate with all Ward Managers/Department Heads or Staff Nurses daily.
  • Ensure supplies of cleaning materials and disposables are available to staff.
  • Ensure all staff are adequately trained in conjunction with legislative requirements, this should include emergency procedures.
  • Complete documentation for stock requests and stock take for cleaning materials
  • Assist in the allocation of staff on duty for allocated areas.
  • Monthly monitoring of area responsibility to ensure areas maintain the level of cleanliness to required specification standards.
  • Monthly monitoring of machine cleanliness to required specification standards.
  • Allocation of overtime to within budget limits.
  • Monitoring of sickness/absence in line with company procedures.
  • Carry out return to work interviews on areas of responsibility.
  • Attend weekly team leader/supervisors meetings.
  • Conduct monthly team briefing sessions.
  • Ensure that staff receive adequate training in methods and procedures to be followed in the use of materials and equipment. Health and Safety and COSHH regulations to be observed at all times.
  • Liaise with other team leaders, managers and Trust staff, heads of departments and Ward Sisters.
  • Reporting of accidents
  • Reporting of pest infestation
  • Assisting in the receipt and issue of cleaning materials and equipment.
  • The observation and reporting of repairs to building and furniture.
  • Ensuring health and safety procedures within an area of responsibility.
  • Covering for colleagues areas on days off, annual leave etc.

The Ideal Candidate

Essential:

  • Use of specialised equipment
  • Organisational skills
  • Certain degree of flexibility

Desirable:

  • Supervisor experience
  • Floor maintenance experience
