PA - Personal Assistant to CFO Government worldwide and Director Public Sector Affairs

Job Introduction

As PA to CFO Government worldwide and the Director Public Sector Affairs, you'll provide administrative support and act as a point of contact in their absence.

An excellent opportunity for an accomplished Director Level PA to showcase your organisational and communication skills,. You'll use your proactive, common sense approach and 'can do' attitude to ensure the CFO and Director Public Sector Affairs have everything they need to deliver with in their high profile roles, offering solutions or escalating issues when needed. You'll also have a natural flair to understand priorities, at times working to strict timescales.

Able to build effective relationships, you'll have exceptional stakeholder management skills, along with the ability to liaise with colleagues across the globe, at all levels, demonstrating your cultural awareness and understanding of any sensitivities, taking into account time zones.

Fundamentally, you'll be articulate and able to deal with senior government/industry officials, being collaborative in working with other PA’s to organise diaries for senior level board meetings and taking board actions/minutes where required.

Role Responsibility

You'll provide timely, well organised and efficient PA support and services to the CFO Government worldwide and the Head of Government Affairs, and provide support, as required, for the team of the CFO, as well as building constructive and effective relationships with all stakeholders., acting as point of contact in colleague’s absence.

You'll have diary and inbox management responsibilities, arrange travel and accommodation and respond to relevant correspondence.

You'll also have responsibility to prepare and print reporting packs, send out agenda items, arrange scheduled and ad-hoc meetings , ensuring invitations and confirmations are sent, and proactively followed up, and that all logistical provision is made, You'll also take notes, type up and present in a professional format.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Comprehensive PA to Director level experience
  • Previous experience in booking and organising complex Global  travel arrangements
  • Diary / email management
  • Ideally qualified to RSA1 11level
  • Excellent typing skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of the following packages: MS Office; ( Word, Power Point, Excel and Visio)
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to articulate self verbally and in writing, including taking and compilation of meeting minutes and actions.
  • Demonstrates initiative and anticipates needs
  • Self-starter and self-motivated with ability to prioritise and schedule work under conflicting pressures
  • Able to demonstrate a high degree of discretion, tact and confidentiality
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Able to work unsupervised
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Organised and methodical
  • Team player
  • Flexibility to work across time zones and support Group HRD Global HR Services out of hours as required.
  • A can do attitude and a sense of humour, calm and balanced
  • Ideally educated to ‘A’ level standard and must possess O Level/ GCSE Maths and English Language.
  • Demonstrates cultural awareness

Desirable

  • Previous experience of working within a global and/or remote context
  • Previous knowledge of working within an HR / Finance department 
  • Ability to speak French and ideally another language at least at a basic level

Package Description

Competitive salary of £29,000-£39,000 plus including pension and option to 'buy' additional flexible benefits such as holidays, healthcare etc

This role is a 12 months fixed term contract with review, possibility of permanent.  The role location is flexible. However, there is a requirement to be work from the London office two/three days per week.
