Nurse - Part Time

Job Introduction

We are currently seeking a highly talented and driven person to work in the one of our Cork sites.

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, the ability to prioritise their work load and have the ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiences.

You will be working as part of a team but you will at times be expected to work independently and under your own initiative.

Role Responsibility

  • assessing and planning nursing care requirements
  • monitoring and administering medication and intravenous infusions
  • taking patient samples, pulses, temperatures and blood pressures
  • writing records: Maintain appropriate and accurate written nursing records and reports regarding patient care in accordance with local / national / professional guidelines
  • supervising caring staff
  • organising workloads
  • providing emotional support to patients and relatives
  • ensure that care is carried out in an empathetic and ethical manner and that the dignity and spiritual needs of the patient are respected

The Ideal Candidate

  •  Be registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by An Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland) or be entitled to be so registered
  •  Have the clinical and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role
