Network Engineer (IS&T/ITSystems Support)

HMP Northumberland is the newest addition to the SJS estate. Our aim is to introduce the technology and initiatives that have been so successful in our other prisons whilst providing real work opportunities for prisoners which match those available in the community
As Network Engineer on site, you will provide a high level of day to day operational support for all IS&T hardware and software, telecommunications, television, security systems and other 3rd party equipment under scope of Facilities within the establishment.
Role Responsibility
- Administer and maintain network servers including daily checks and back up regimes.
- Perform basic administration tasks on all systems.
- Provide support both hardware and software to local users.
- Provide support for all 3rd Party systems on site.
- Prepare and update system documentation.
- Perform Hardware, Software and Network installations when required.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven working knowledge of IS&T systems is essential .
- Effective communication and good interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and high accuracy levels.
Desirable
- MCSA Accreditation
