Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer

Job Introduction

Sodexo Energy & Resources has a fantastic opportunity for a Multi-Skilled Electrical Engineer to join our business at a client site in central London.

The successful candidate will be a well rounded, flexible technician with relevant craft/trade qualification.

Role Responsibility

  • Observe all Company and client safety rules/regulations
  • Carry out planned maintenance routines on M&E equipment in accordance with company routines ensuring cost effective supply and control of spares
  • Supervision and delegation of tasks to on site team
  • Repair/replace defective normal internal lighting
  • Complete all necessary tracking of jobs and tasks via the assigned software packages
  • Oversee visiting sub-contractors within areas of own responsibility
  • Report any incident of fire, loss, damage and other irregularities or contract deviations and take such corrective action as may be delegated
  • Attend any meetings and/or training courses as may be necessary
  • Order such spares and equipment as is necessary to maintain equipment availability whilst remaining within budget unless specifically authorised by client
  • Maintain good housekeeping safety and hygiene practices
  • Upkeep and compliance with COSHH sheets.
  • Upkeep and compliance with risk assessments and safe systems of work
  • Report all accidents, incidents, and injuries immediately
  • Report any substandard equipment immediately.
  • Record and maintain a register of portable appliance test equipment
  • Observe all Sodexo and client safety rules/regulations and ensure compliance with same
  • Critical need to provide

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be subject to BS7858 security vetting and reference checks.

  • A basic standard of education required with relevant craft/trade training essential. City and Guilds 2381 and2391 standards (or equivalent)
  • IEE Wiring regulations 17th Edition
  • Time served electrician with relevant electrical qualifications and previous experience in building services
  • Proven experience supervising skilled trades in a building services environment
  • Ability to communicate efficiently with work colleagues, customers and the client.
  • Working knowledge of the environmental policy.
  • Portable appliance testing
  • PC literate
  • Ability to adapt and meet frequently changing work environment internally and externally
  • Strategic thinker/planner, analytical problem solver and innovator

Package Description

Competitive salary of £20,500 per annum + £14,500 London weighting allowance.
