Multi Skilled Engineer, Electrical Bias

Job Introduction

To work within and support the M&E team to attend client sites for electrical, fabric, plumbing and related purposes
Work with subcontractors and any other specialist as required
To provide the service delivery in line with best practice, statutory & mandatory compliance
Ensure all PPM’s, reactive and project works are completed within allocated timescales
Co-ordination with the helpdesk and administration team for closure of tasks

Role Responsibility

Responsible for performing multiple repair and maintenance tasks throughout the day, which could include, but is not limited to: Electrical repairs, electrical installs, emergency lighting maintenance, RCD inspections, microwave testing, plumbing repairs, general facility and building fabric repairs ( painting, flooring etc)

To assist the technical team in undertaking maintenance, reactive and project work under guidance and with training and competency as required
Be proactive in identifying and highlighting and issues/ faults with sites and site equipment
Be an essential part of the team to ensure safe operation and repair of all M&E building service and fabric on client sites
Work in line with both our and our clients H&S processes and protocols; including but not limited to Permit to Work, Risk assessments, Method Statement and Safe Systems of work
Work in line with and adhere to our and the clients security protocols
Be proactive to ensure any Security, H&S and compliance issues are reported and escalated as required
Maintain good communications with all parties
Remain flexible with regards to site attendance and tasks undertaken within personal competency
Attend all mandatory and requested training

IT Skills – basic understanding and use of MS Office for worksheets, reporting and email etc

The Ideal Candidate

Essential

Must hold current and valid driving licence with less than 6 points
Attention to detail and show a professional attitude to all tasks
Electrician with valid 17^th Edition certificate
Knowledge and experience in many aspects of building repair & maintenance work (plumbing, fabric repairs etc)

Good physical fitness as lifting and reaching will be an essential element of the role
Able to work at height
Ability to Prioritise tasks & good time management
Ability to resolve problems efficiently with good communication skills
Able to work occasional overtime and shifts to fit with business requirements
Will be required to cover “On Call” throughout the year, approx. 1 week in 4 with flexibility required
Must be a team player and treat co-workers with respect
Positive attitude with a willingness to succeed
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Dependability as regular and reliable attendance is expected
PASMA/IPAF trained

Asbestos trained or awareness certification
L8 Certification
NEBOSH/IOSH Certificate

FGas/Refrigeration Certification / Heating and ventilation Certification
Gas Safe Registered
Ladder Inspections
Prior use of PDA’s (personal digital assistant) etc
