Multi Skilled Building Services Engineer

We’re recruiting for a Multi Skilled Building Services Engineer to support the delivery of building services on site at one of our global pharmaceutical contracts in Ware Hertfordshire.

The role is to supply maintenance to mechanical building services across the site and liaise with internal and external customers the client and engineers at all levels

Role Responsibility

• Perform regular monitoring of contract systems and respond to issues
• Undertake maintenance procedures, regular checks and routine inspections
• Available for callout to respond to ensure effective response & resolution in accordance with the client SLA.
• Support the development and communication of best working practice.
• Completion of Planned Preventive Maintenance & Helpdesk tasks to ensure compliance with the Service Level Agreement.
• Operational management of 3^rd party specialists & contractors.
• Assist and enhance service delivery through best practice and effective use of site systems and equipment
• Respond to Building Management Systems (BMS) alarms
• Deal with customers in a professional and courteous manner
• Willing to work out of hours as directed by Technical Services Managers and Supervisor to ensure maintenance regime is completed.
• Responsible for maintenance of records to ensure compliance with PSSR regulations
• Any other reasonable request in support of contract and KPI/SLA delivery

The Ideal Candidate

• A customer focused approach, exhibiting a reliable and responsible attitude
• City & Guilds boiler qualification / BOAS CERTIBO / DIPBOM or equivalent experience working with Steam                     
• Minimum or equivalent in an engineering discipline (or EITB/C&G J modules).
• Water Treatment Plant Experience.
• Experience working on Spirax Sarco steam boiler level controls, pressure reducing valves and plate heat exchangers would be advantageous.
• The ideal candidate will have a good engineering background, decent knowledge of screw and vane air      compressors, with both mechanical and electrical experience.
• Experience maintaining and repairing all types of Pressure / Steam systems including Boilers, Turbines, Heat Exchangers, Condensers, Air Receivers etc
• Working knowledge of HVAC systems
• Ability to work in team and independently
• Excellent communication and good time management skills
• Reliable and responsible attitude.
• Proven to ability to prioritize
• Able to multi-task
• Strong interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
