Job Introduction

Job description

Working a shift system of four day on four days off (including bank holidays & weekends) the role involves packing cook chilled food in a room held below 3 degrees & delivering to various locations.

Due to the potential hazards that exist within the delivery areas you must hold a full, clean driving licence with a minimum of 3 years driving experience.

Role Responsibility

Main duties & responsibilities:

  • To manage all aspects of labelling, packing & delivery of food.
  • Ensure the highest standard of quality & presentation at all times.
  • Follow instruction, as directed by the Cook Chill supervisor and in accordance to the required SLA
  • To provide an efficient and friendly service to clients, stakeholders & customers in all departments.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is completed to comply with company and industry standards
  • To communicate well with clients, stakeholders & customers and demonstrate a helpful attitude at all times.
  • To undertake cleaning and ensure all aspects of equipment and production area cleaning is completed to the Company’s standard according to the cleaning rota or as directed
  • Report all accidents and near misses in accordance to the health & safety documentation.
  • Wear the correct uniform at all times.
  • Ensure that methods of preparation, production and presentation comply with Sodexo’s standards and procedures.
  • Comply with all Company & Client policies, site rules and statutory regulations relating to Health & Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, Cook Chill system, safe working practices, hygiene, cleanliness, fire and COSHH. This will include your awareness of any specific hazards in your work place.
  • Ensure that all equipment used, is in safe working order and report any faults to line manager, ensuring the equipment is not used until safe.

     

To fulfil any other reasonable requests including:

  • To assist with any special functions, some of which may occur outside working hours
  • To rectify or report any customer complaints or compliments, taking remedial action if possible and report to line manager.
  • To report immediately any incidents of accident, fire, theft, loss, damage, unfit food, or other irregularities and take such action as may be appropriate or possible
  • To attend meetings and training courses as may be necessary

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should have previous experience of working in a catering environment and hold a basic food hygiene certificate or equivalent, however full training will be given. A flexible approach to the role is essential due to the constantly changing nature of the business.

Due to public transport links personal transport is essential.
